Portal Beta Test A beta test (pilot) of the SCORE General Surgery Resident Curriculum Portal will be conducted during the first half of 2009. The beta test is intended to be a short-term evaluation of the portal's structure, usability and feasibility as relates to general surgery training prior to its full release in summer 2009. The portal will still be in development during this time, with a limited amount of content and features available. Both residents and program directors will be evaluating the site. Thirty-three general surgery residency programs are participating in the beta test. These programs were selected as a representative sample of the 250 ACGME-accredited general surgery residency programs in the U.S. The programs listed below correspond closely as a group to all U.S. programs in terms of geography, type (university, community or military), size, and percent international medical graduates.
